by the Agbrigg & Belle Vue Neighbourhood Management Team
The Neighbourhood Management Team hosted two Impact Days on 19th and 25th July, which were attended by service providers and over 250 residents having a say in improving this area.

The 19th June concentrated on the Agbrigg area with Environment Agency and WMDC Land Drainage providing information on flooding issues. The Recycling Bus demonstrated the different types of materials that can be recycled through household system and recycling sites. A Health Fair was set-up at the corner of Agbrigg Road/Montague St giving people an opportunity to find out about healthy eating, and providing help to those who wish to stop smoking.
Particular effort was made to consult with residents about the services they receive from different organisations and how residents can have some influence. Some interesting points were raised and relevant service providers are considering improvements as a result of this.
During the day the turn out was good, the weather held up and the event concluded with an opening ceremony for the Community Art project, by Cllr Olivia Rowley & Chief Executive, Joanne Roney.
The second impact day concentrated on the Belle Vue area, particularly the William Prince Grove play area that was re-developed with Primary Care Trust, Wakefield & District Housing (WDH), the Agbrigg and Belle Vue Community Association, the Neighbourhood Management Team, WMDC Parks Section, Neighbourhood Services, Environmental Crime, Sandal Magna School and many residents of the area.
An estate walk led by WDH identified a some improvements that could enhance the area. The day was concluded with an opening ceremony as children from Sandal Magna School officially opened the play area.
