Learn more about the Beaver Scouts that meet at Sandal Methodist church.

Beaver Scouts are aged between 5¾ and 8 years. By working as a team they learn many different skills and develop lasting new friendships.
There are four different training programmes based around the four seasons of the year.

Outings are arranged to expand the interest of the Beavers, these outings range from a trip to the coal-mining museum to a trip on a narrow-boat.

Other activities include learning about the languages, cultures and good of other nations, following a trail, and playing various games.

They are encouraged to take part in craft days and compete in a football tournament which is organised across the Wakefield district.

Another popular activity is the themed sleepover, which in the past have included native American and ancient Egypt. The sleepover may include singing songs, and toasting marshmallows around a campfire.

Beaver scouts can earn badges for hard work in a range of subjects.
