by Eileen Worton – Chair of the Agbrigg & Belle Vue Community AssociationThe Community Association is hosting an open public meeting at the Community Centre, Tuesday 18th March, 6–8 p.m. In response to continued local flooding issues and the previously proposed Oakenshaw Wetlands scheme we are hosting an open meeting for local residentsto meet with representatives from involved agencies for updates and information on flood defence modelling, highways issues & vandalism.Officers attending will be Mr Peter Davis Group Engineer-Drainage WMDC, Mr Ian Wyper Service Director, Transportation & Highways WMDC. Also invited are a representative from the Environment Agency, our local police team and local councillors.Do come along and show the depth of concern this area has with these issues and maybe together we can work to reduce the risks.
